Mobbed

I heard on radio that this deejay got mobbed by three guys on three motorbikes after toll on Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP).

What happen was he noticed the rider behind him requested him to pullover, indicate him with some fierce gestures suggesting him that he has knocked the rider’s motorbike.

As far he could remember, he didn’t knock anybody while he was on the road, he was unsure what to do and before he can think of anything, those three riders is riding along side with him at the front, side and back, maneuvering him to pullover at the side of the highway. He had no choice but to put his car on stand still.

He was forced to step out of his car and accused for knocking 1 of the rider’s bike and demand for a sum of RM250 as compensation fee. All of the riders were holding a helmet in their hand. He wished not to get into any trouble and paid them off.

Strange Encounter with Strangers

I’m working in an IT company, and based at client’s office, so every day I meet many unknown people in various workplace.

Usually I’ll greet or at least nod my head with eye contact whenever I meet these people in office regardless I know them or not, because we are all in the same workplace.

There is this Malay lady whom I guess is from building maintenance management based on her outfit, walkie-talkie in her hand, running from place to place for checkup daily, she came to me when I was playing games working with my eyes staring on my notebook and greet me! I didn’t realize she was around me until she greeted me and I look away from my notebook and greet back to her.

A few more people whom I don’t know and didn’t work with me passed by my cubicle and greeted me and asked me whether I have my breakfast/lunch. Strangely, I barely know them by names except for their faces. It is very kind and friendly of them to someone don’t work for them.

Useful Information from Stranger

Somewhere in the middle of October, I was taking the bus to office for work as usual. But that day it was a bit unusual because as I paid my bus fare, the bus driver suddenly talked to me and informs me about tentative information that he received, which by somewhere in month of November, this route for this bus will be cancelled as they will consolidate a few routes and extend their travel journey.

I thank him after I took my ticket from the driver as usual as well as for that piece of information, as I might need to look for alternative way to get to work if this route is going to cancel.

I found a seat in the bus and sat down. Then I started to think, why is the bus driver didn’t tell anybody who were onboard before me from the same station that I took from (nobody is after me as usual I like to queue up last, will explain why next post)?

Get Out of My Way or Excuse Me, Thank You

Whenever people are in my way, I’ll ask them politely to give way by saying with eye contact if possible,

“Excuse me?”

Though it could be longer like,
“Could you please step aside and let me pass through?”

After they gave way, I’ll thank them by saying,

“Thank you!”

Or a smile, a nod of head to appreciate their kindness.

But I do realize that most of Malaysian, to be specific, those people working in the office, dress professionally, well groom. Yes, those type of people, whenever they ask people to give way, they will give their ugliest face ever, no eye contact, face look down to the ground, like they are inspecting your toe nails whether it got dirt stuck inside and saying with their worst voice ever,

Changes and Improvement

I was watching a program on Discovery Science, about two people trying to create a electric generator using the wave current to power up their caravan for a wonderful picnic by the sea side.

They built a long cone and secured it at the bridge with cone’s bottom lowered into the sea. As the wave comes, it pushes the water into the cone up and down, thus, creating pressure which pushes the air outward via cone’s top opening and when the wave falls, it sucks the air in from the top of the cone and creates inward air flow.

They then created a fan blade which act like a turbine attached to a electric generator motor in hope that the air pressure can move the turbine and generate electricity to power up their caravan. However, due to the nature of the wave current which rise and fall, thus, the air flow also goes outwards and inwards according to the wave current. Because of that, it changes the rotation direction for the turbine which is inadequate to generate electricity.

They also mentioned it can only generate electricity if the fan rotates in one direction regardless the direction of the air flow which pushes out and sucks in. Therefore, they carry on which their research and findings to solve this issue. At this point of time, it was a commercial break for that program. This gives me the opportunity to think how to solve this.
